About ROAR
History
Raleigh Organizing Against Racism, or ROAR, is a noncommercial, nonsectarian, and nonpartisan organization that works with the community to provide anti-racist education for all and participates in decision-making processes establishing policy and legislation, recognizing that the legal responsibility to make decisions has been delegated by the people to boards, state and county authorities, and elected officials.
Mission
The mission of ROAR is to dismantle systems of racial advantage and oppression through education, analysis, healing, community building, and institutional transformation. We seek to restore collective economic power and ownership to People of Color by reversing the historical impacts of white affirmative action.
